Intraday News Trades June 30 2009

Hi,

Been a great trading day today, both intraday swings on GBP/USD and DAX and all news trades using the ‘Fast Economic news’ have been phenomenal.
I will concentrate on the news trading as I have recorded the trades live and uploaded them here. As per usual I record the small trade as response time is critical, but the trades were traded on 2 machines, the larger trade was 10 times the size of the recorded trade. The bigger trade did even better as response time wasn’t degraded by the video recording software. I did not record the Norway trade as the spread is over 100 pips near news and any delay means a missed trade. On the Eur/Nok trade on good retail salses data made 92 pips. On GBP/USD during the UK GDP awful figures made 38 pips and on the ES made 13 ticks during the US consumer confidence report. I use the software for spike trading only, so I exit on any sign of retracement. In any event the news were sufficient to generate another 100+ points in intraday swing, using my other methods.
